How can I get trained to use the TERI?
Our research has shown that when raters engage in our training and certification process, the TERI can be used reliably among large teams of observers. To become trained to score classroom instruction using the TERI: FS and/or the TERI: TBC, raters complete a rigorous, asynchronous online training.

The training consists of modules that introduce each rubric dimension, associated scoring procedures, video-based examples of relevant instruction, and checks for understanding.
To become a certified rater, raters must match expert observers’ scores on a series of five instructional videos, achieving like-score agreement on eighty percent of the rubric dimensions.
